What is happening with offline mode?

As far as I know we haven't heard the dev team talking about offline mode in a while and I wanted to check if it was still on the radar. The last update in this area was the Solo Mode Beta almost 6 months ago and is a mode which requires an online connection to work.

Offline mode was a huge cornerstone of Operation Medic Bag which is now being confidently wrapped up with resources diverted from the Payday team as a result. My concern as a player and lover of the franchise is that this loudly requested feature is seemingly being swept under the rug.

I recently watched a video from Bellular News about the current state of Payday 3 which has almost 150k views at the time of writing, no doubt many of the people watching it are outside the core Payday audience. Some of the highest upvoted comments were:

• "Always online single player. No matter what else they're going through, no matter what else people are mad about; I'm not buying it until that's fixed."
• "Not touching it until they add an offline mode. If they ever do that it."
• "All of this. Literally ALL OF THIS could have been avoided if they added an offline mode from the get go for us lonely folks. And made the servers stable."

Offline mode also remains by far the most upvoted feature on the user suggestion page.

I just don't the devs to underestimate the ravenous appetite there clearly is for an offline mode, gently remind them of their committment to include it as part of Operation Medic Bag and talk to us about what their plans are for this system in 2024 if any.
