apartment hunting: do you like where you live?

Hi friends,

I’m feeling very discouraged in my apartment search. Google reviews on every place I’ve looked at are alarming. I’m currently in a horrible place and need to find a new spot within 2 months.

Anyone here have a good experience where they live? My budget is under 1800 and the only amenity I’m worried about is in-unit washer/dryer.
